Who Are We?

We are Cornerstone Christian Education, a private educational institution registered as non-profit corporation in the province of Alberta. We are a K-12 school providing a non-denominational Christian education. We believe that every child is unique and should be given an education based on their individual needs and abilities. We believe God meant what He said in Deut. 6:4-7 and Mark 12:30, that we are to teach our children, at all times, in every way, to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. For these reasons we use an individualized, mastery based, Christ-centered curriculum called Accelerated Christian Education. Cornerstone students start each day with devotions. We cover subjects such as a Biblical perspective on equity, God’s extravagant love for us, and how do we know what is true. We also read the Bible together daily and talk about what it means to us in the 21st century.

What is ACE?

A.C.E stands for Accelerated Christian Education. Schools and homeschools around the world use the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® program in the training of their children. The A.C.E. program consists of Bible-based K–12 curriculum, student programs, and professional training. Although other publishers have marketed academic curriculum, no one has produced a life-changing character package like that of A.C.E. Children’s minds develop best in a God-centered environment of absolutes and love. They emerge with a sweet attitude and with a greater, richer concept of God and how He wants them to live. A.C.E graduates consistently go on to post-secondary education with our A.C.E. transcript.” Developed over 50 years ago, ACE curriculum is now used in over 6,000 schools in 145 countries.

A.C.E is individualized. Each student works in each subject at a level that is right for them based on their needs and learning capabilities, not chronological age or grade level. Whether a student is a fast learner, moderate learner, or needs more time and help, they progress at a pace that is right for them.

A.C.E is mastery based. Students do not move on in a subject until they are competent in each subject’s content and skills. Repetition and review are an integral part of ACE curriculum and all students are given as much individual help as needed.

A.C.E is Christ-centered. 60 Biblical character traits such as kindness, faith, honesty, and perseverance are repeatedly taught throughout the curriculum with a corresponding scripture to be memorized. Their ACE friends, fictional characters, learn Godly character in each PACE along with the student. These characters grow with the student and have the same kinds of age-appropriate questions and problems to be solved. There are opportunities for each student to apply the Godly character lesson to their own lives.

ACE core subjects are Math, English, Word Building (Spelling and Vocabulary), Literature and Creative Writing, Science, and Social Studies and are taught from a Biblical perspective. There are also several electives for older students to choose from. A year’s worth of material in each subject is divided into 12 small booklets called a PACE. Students are rewarded upon successful completion of each PACE so there is a continuous sense of accomplishment.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17 & 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, profitable for teaching, correction, and training in Godly living.
2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Thessalonians 2:13. 2 Peter 1:20-21

We believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected from the dead on the third day, and ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of Father God.
Isa 7:14, Matthew 1:20-23, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22, Matthew 20:18-19, Mark 15:20, Luke 24:6-7, Romans 6:9, Romans 8:34, Luke 24:51, Acts 1:9-11, Mark 16:19

We believe that humankind was created by God, in perfection, for intimate fellowship with Him. Through willful disobedience and separation from God, judgement and death entered the world.  Through Jesus’ death on the cross we have the opportunity for redemption.  By grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus, individuals can be restored to fellowship with God by repenting, believing, and confessing that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour.
Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-11, Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 10: 9-10, 1 Peter 2:24

We believe the Holy Spirit lives within those who have confessed Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit will regenerate, renew, and give wisdom and guidance for godly living to those who surrender to His sanctifying work.
Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38, Titus 3:5-6, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Proverbs 3:5-6, John 16:13
