Michael and Lori Ferguson

Pastor Michael had a long career in law enforcement, followed by becoming a private investigator in the search for missing children. He has driven school bus in Airdrie as well as for special needs students in Calgary.

Pastor Michael has worked on the pastoral staff of a local church in pastoral care and seniors’ ministries. As school pastor, he will provide spiritual support and guidance for both staff and students. He also helps in the Learning Center as a monitor.

Children are naturally drawn to him since he has the gift of play. The Fergusons have 3 children and 7 grandchildren living in the US, and have become surrogate grandparents of 6 grandchildren here in Alberta.

Lori Ferguson

The Fergusons have been married for 45 years. They met at Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, TX. Lori has been involved in ministry for most of the past 47 years as a youth pastor, minister of music, worship leader, speaker, done pastoral care and pastoral counselling. She has worked in three private Christian schools in addition to starting Cornerstone Christian School.

The Fergusons became connected to ACE in 1985 as parents of students. In 1989 Lori became the music teacher at a school that used ACE curriculum and was also trained as a monitor. She was also the speech and drama teacher as well as teaching Home Economics for high school boys. She was trained and certified as an ACE supervisor in 1992.

Cornerstone Christian Education has evolved slowly over the past decade from Lori homeschooling one grade one student, to becoming the administrator of a growing private Christian school.

Rosemary Canuel

Rosemary and her husband, Allen, have been married for 44 years. They have 3 grown children, one with special needs. Rosemary has both training and experience with special needs and learning challenges.

She earned a certificate from the University of Victoria in remedial education and language arts. She worked for several years with special needs students at a Calgary school, and she and her husband were involved in special needs ministry at a large Calgary church before moving to Airdrie.

Rosemary brings much experience and knowledge into the Learning Center

Sharon Larsen

Sharon moved from BC to AB and lived in Airdrie for 15 years.  She loves the family environment and the friendly people of this city.

Sharon has been an active member of the church since she as 15 years old and have served in many ways; mostly with children, teens, ladies ministry and now as a prayer warrior also.

Sharon has held many positions over the years but the last 30 years she has been blessed to have worked as an Office Administrator in both Thompson Rivers University and the University of Calgary and more recently as an Account Administrator for a local Airdrie business. Most recently, Sharon has been transporting special needs children to school. God has blessed our school with the addition of Sharon on staff!
